The Global Data Justice project at the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society (TILT) has produced the report in 2022 for the EU Parliament’s Science and Technology Options Assessment Group. DLS researcher Linnet Taylor, Professor of International Data Governance at TILT, lead the group. Now she will present the report on 9th March in The Hague.

The group provided policy options for orienting the EU’s legislative discussions around AI more towards social justice. The report explores how to operationalise data justice principles into more concrete benchmarks for good governance and explores the EU’s legislative package on Artificial Intelligence in relation to these benchmarks. It discusses different policy options for the EU.
