summer school on European Platform regulation
From 3-7 July 2023, Amsterdam University organises a summer course on European Platform Regulation.
The course offers a deep dive into the law and policy of the ground-breaking Digital Services Act and other legislation reforming the laws for online intermediation and the digital economy.
The course is organised by the Institute for Information Law (IViR) and its DSA Observatory. It will be taught by a great variety of leading experts, including DLS researchers.
The course aims to update participants with the key developments in the regulation of online platforms under EU law. They will study the legal substance of the new Digital Services Act and related instruments, as well as its legislative history and the roadmap for its future implementation and enforcement. Access to a set of course materials with current and relevant resources on the topic will be provided.
Participants further have the opportunity to network and connect with other professionals and epxerts in the field.
The course is taught by a variety of leading experts, including academic specialists, legal practitioners, and professionals in government and in the non-profit sector. Amongst the confirmed speakers, there are DLS researchers Naomi Appelman and Joris van Hoboken
